About
Hi, I'm Prince Ayaata.
I'm a Computer Science student and software developer in Accra, Ghana. I like building software that feels light, from native Windows tools that barely touch the CPU to AI apps that keep working when a free-tier quota runs out.
Much of my recent work sits close to the operating system. Wallive is a Rust live wallpaper that plays video with the graphics chip's hardware decoder and pauses itself when no one can see it. CoreGaze is a C++ and DirectX 11 overlay that shows system stats without getting in the way. Both ship as v1.0.0 installers on GitHub Releases.
On Android, I started Flash, a Kotlin library and app that sends files, messages and calls between nearby devices with no server or internet. It is split into modules other apps can use, and it now lives under Soko Aerial, where I am an intern.
On the web, I build AI-powered tools. StudyMate AI turns lecture notes into quizzes grounded in the material, and DevPulse gathers developer news with AI summaries. Both are designed to switch between AI providers rather than depend on one.
I work in small, verified steps and write things down: decision records, test notes and handoff logs live next to the code. I built Project Starter to set that up in every new project, and this site was started with it.
